It’s a legal requirement for all lifting equipment to be periodically inspected and that inspection to be recorded.

To ensure your lifting equipment remains compliant and fit for purpose PML can implement a thorough examination schedule to suit your requirements. All thorough examinations can be completed on-site or at one of our testing facilities. To make the process as simple as possible for you, all results can be accessed on our online portal after tests or inspections have taken place.

LOLER Testing & Inspection

Under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER 1998), every piece of lifting equipment needs a valid certificate of thorough examination. Meanwhile, the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 1998) say it must also be maintained in a safe condition. If you want to keep your workplace compliant and safe, PML can help.

A regular maintenance regime coupled with LOLER thorough examinations are essential steps towards achieving workplace safety – but it’s also an opportunity to improve / maintain productivity. Protecting yourself against sudden equipment failure isn’t just essential for your team’s safety but also detecting problems early helps you to prevent downtime, expensive repairs, and damage to equipment and stock.

To ensure you are efficient, compliant and safe.

It is essential to use an experienced lifting engineer for your thorough examination and as part of your ongoing maintenance regime. We understand your working processes, look for trends in wear, and schedule the work you need to keep working efficiently and safely.

Accredited, experienced specialists

Every one of our engineers is trained and qualified to carry out thorough examinations, by the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA). As well as bringing an experienced eye to your equipment, we’ll help you determine what kind of maintenance and examination schedule best suits your particular environment and usage patterns.
